The digital afterlife - have you added your legacy contact?

In December 2021 Apple introduced the Legacy Contact. This enables Apple users to nominate someone who will be given access to their iCloud, and all their precious photographs, videos and memories, in the event of your death.

The decision was taken after Matt had acted for widow Rachel Thompson in a legal action to force Apple to give her access to her late husband's account, which had so many photos and videos of the couple's daughter Matilda and family memories.

Rachel and Matt appeared on ITV's This Morning and Matt talked through steps that everyone should take. The Legacy Contact now makes that easier.
