We hope you’ll forgive the managerial appointment reference but we are truly honoured to announce a partnership with the former Reading and Leeds United manager (and not to forget former Arsenal, and many others, player) Brian McDermott.
Brian met with Fraser and Matt this month to talk through his difficult mental health journey and how he has now connected with his emotional self. His honesty, vulnerability and insight blew us away and the three of us walked away from the meeting knowing that we wanted to work together and that we could make a positive difference.
We are all, every single one of us, racked with self-doubt and the dreaded imposter syndrome. During a period of his life when he was stood next to, and competing with, the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsène Wenger, that debilitating emotion nearly led to complete destruction for him.
Brian will be working with us on a consultancy basis, offering his experience and insight to our business and our clients, and, most importantly, we will be offering our clients the chance to hear from Brian, and learn from his experience, with staff, coaches and player sessions which focus on his own mental health challenges and how the lessons learned can possibly save mental health and even careers or lives.
Brian will be working with us alongside the other exciting projects and ventures he has on.
