My Story
Krysten has been competing at the highest level of para-badminton for over a decade. He represented Team GB at both the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, winning a bronze medal in Tokyo before upgrading to a silver medal in the SH6 men’s singles in Paris, completing an epic encounter with his good friend Charles Noakes in the final.

Before focusing on badminton, Krysten also competed in para table tennis, but badminton has become his passion and his drive to succeed saw him quickly rise through the international ranks winning World and European Championships along the way.

Known for his resilience, and the sheer joy he has in playing sport for a living, Krysten is also passionate about having positive and open conversation about dwarfism and how society responds to people of short stature. He now combines playing doubles badminton with coaching and he recently partnered with Charles Noakes to win another European gold and helped Azerbaijan to their first ever medal when partnering with Zahra Salmanli in the mixed doubles in Istanbul.

Krysten delivers sessions to young footballers which poses the thought - being a dwarf is just like being a Premier League footballer. Cue heavy interaction, fun, thoughtful moments and all finished with Krysten challenging the boys or girls to a penalty shootout.
