A communications specialist with a legal background, Richard is a consultant for B5 in Ireland. Having practised as a Barrister, Richard pivoted into sport through his representation of athletes and provision of consultancy services for brands and sporting organisations.

As Director of Communications and Legal Affairs at Rugby Players Ireland, Richard provides reputation and privacy protection services whilst executing an integrated strategy in support of the association’s key goals. He has also played a central role in the establishment of Tackle Your Feelings, a multi-award-winning mental wellbeing campaign that leverages the profile of Ireland’s rugby players. The programme is currently being rolled out in schools across the island while paving the way for similar initiatives across the sporting world.

With an Advanced Diploma in Social Media and Media Law, strategic communications experience and Sports Law qualifications, Richard has successfully assimilated some of his key passions into a professional career which, though it failed to ignite on the field, he hopes will leave a lasting legacy off it.
