LAW in Sport 2026 - tackling online abuse

This week Matt Himsworth was honoured to be invited by Tottenham Hotspur FC to join a panel at the Law In Sport 2026 Football Conference at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to discuss the work we have done, together with Signify, to deal with the growing issue of online abuse in football.

The Panel was led by Spurs' General Counsel, Katie Reed, who has been a leader in challenging this issue and has allowed us to do a huge amount of work in supporting players, obtaining justice and sanctions, and has even resulted in us doing community work, through the THFC Foundation, working with state schools to discuss online behaviours.
