At B5, we support individuals and work closely with player care and welfare teams through complex and often highly sensitive situations. We have years of experience and understanding of online harms and difficult personal situations faced by athletes. All of our employees who are elite athletes have detailed lived experience and our Managing Director, as a media lawyer with 20+ years experience, has seen almost every personal or online crisis that an athlete can suffer.

We have particular experience in relation to intimate image abuse (and have supported many athletes beyond our own Leigh Nicol, who is a trailblazer in this field) as well as on online abuse, stalking and trolling. We have supported countless clubs, players and associations. Our role is to help stabilise the situation, limit wider impact and provide calm, ongoing support to those affected.

Where appropriate, we also assist in identifying individuals responsible for abusive, threatening or harmful conduct. We guide clients through the available options and, when necessary, support the pursuit of accountability through criminal proceedings, civil action or other appropriate channels, always prioritising the wellbeing, safety and long-term interests of the individual.
